I hired Neil's Garage Cabinets to install cabinets and epoxy flooring in my garage. They set my house up for theft by wiring the garage doors open, then disengaging the automatic door so it could be lifted by hand. After doing this, they informed me not to go in the garage overnight(so as not to damage the flooring). They didn't tell me they had wired the doors open, and they certainly didn't tell me that they disengaged the garage door. I would have had to go into the garage to discover this, but they made sure to tell me not to enter (or risk having to redo the floor).

Sure enough, someone came into my garage during the one night Neil's made it impossible for me to close the garage, and stole my golf clubs. They could have left the doors open 6 inches to allow for proper drying (Neil's acknowledged this fact), but they left the doors open 2 feet. Just wide enough to allow someone to enter. I filed a police report, and Neil's salesman originally promised to cover my damages ($1000 deductible I had to pay to replace my golf clubs). Neil's backed out on their promise and now have refused to pay for damages created by their poor installation practices. This was an easily preventable crime, which Neil's made sure could not be prevented.
