Complaint Review: Neil Wolfe Of Neil Construction

I contract Neil Wolfe of Neil Construction based on a referral fro Service magic a contract referral service. They had failed to investigate his record. He is known for starting projects and after he is paid ahead of the work he stops working on the project. My room addition has the wrong items purchased, has exposed external electrical, the foundation is not square so the external walls do not sit on the foundation but cantilever off. The new walls are not 8 feet and do not match the existing 8 foot walls. The work is substandard and does not even follow the architectural drawings. When he could no longer get money he sent an email to me saying he would no longer work on the project, even though he had been overpaid. He did not answer the lawsuit and from his prior victims he never pays the judgments against him. I will receive judgment for the amount I asked for but he very good at keeping his money hidden so I will receive nothing. I strongly recommend that consumers that employ this company without checking the Akron BBB in Ohio first. Google his name for the web listings of horror stories.
