I recently opened an account with Netbank, and it has been non-stop issue after issue.

I recently recieved an email from them saying that now we could get our deposits overnighted via UPS Quick Post, and that our deposits would post the next day. I sent $1200 in money orders via quick post, so that there would be no delay. I called the next day and was told that my deposit would post to my account the next day with no problems. I wrote out checks for my monthly bills, including my rent check. Netbank put a 10 business day hold on my secured funds deposit, and sent all of my checks back.

They were KIND enough to release $350 of it a week later after I complained to their regional governing board that these were secure funds, not a personal check. They just released the balance of my money yesterday (10 business days=two full weeks), minus 5 $28 bounced check fees which they will not refund.

Had the customer service person told me that money orders would be held for 10 days, I would have just wired the cash. I am closing my account with them because no one at customer service seems to have a clue, and the story changes everytime you call.

This bank is not worth the hassle of trying to navigate their policy just to get your own money. I also bank at BofA and have never had any issue with them.
