I ran a test run on a test subject which I already knew all information. NetDetective does not give you anything that you can't find for free. Their information is at minimum over a 1 years to 2 years outdated.

They have a logo on their web site 100% satisfaction guarantee, and another place says 90-day satisfaction guarantee, and for the NetPlus 3-day trial. You are literally forced to buy the $9.95 version. I read all their pages and no where does it say any part of any of their products is nonrefundable.

I received an email stating I'll get my refund after filling out their ridiculous multipage form, which I have to mail in. They could have had just as easily refunded my money as they have my CC information and they state on the form I agree to no longer use their downloaded software (I never downloaded anything, all the work is done on-site).

I used this program less than 10 minutes. The very same day I purchased it I asked for a refund, received two conflicting answers to my request. I asked for clarification of my refund and they said the initial $29 is not refundable.

On their order page (which I used SnagIt and captured it as evidence), it states a one-time $29 fee but does not say NONREFUNDABLE, which is contrary to their 100% satisfaction guarantee emblem.

Also, they hype up on every page it is endorsed by the National Association of Independent Private Investigatorsso far I am unable to locate such an entity.

There are many more false-advertising statements on their site. I intend to lodge a complaint with their local BBB, 20/20 or whoever will/may be interested, any online complaint forum, as well as with my credit card issuer to pursue a full refund.

It is companies like this that contribute to the bad reputation innocent, legitimate companies.

In hindsight, it's very strange response emails come from service@customercaredotcom.com nor does NetDetective list their company bio or physical street address on their web site. It's amazing how clever scam artists are.
