I recently purchased a wireless router from Netgear. It cost 44 dollars and promised easy hookup. After spending 4 hours trying to get it to work, I called the company. They gave me the number of their support service. I was told it was an easy fix, but would cost 69 dollars. I was furious, and told the tech that I didn't feel I should have to pay to get service. I tried again to figure out the problem before calling the support line again. I was then told it was 169 dollars, my computer had been hacked, and this person could fix everything. I finally relented, only to find out, what I needed was to buy the plug in for my computer as it wasn't wireless ready. I canceled my credit card payment, returned the net gear router, and purchased a linksys product. It was more expensive, but easy to install and it actually works without having to be ripped off by a tech support line. I will never purchase a net gear product again. Dale,  Rice, MN
