I signed up for a 1 year account for BTGuard. There was a small discount for pre-paying for the full year so I decided to go that route.

After two days of attempting to use the software, I submitted an error message that the software was giving me when attempting to authenticate my username\password. The software would connect only to immediately disconnect after only a couple seconds.

I emailed support@btguard.com only to receive a canned response on how to configure the software. All settings were correct but the problem persisted. I again emailed support. Again, another canned response.

I decided to ask for a refund, again, canned response. I logged into Paypal looking for the "Cancel" option under the details page of the transaction but nowhere on the page was there a cancel button.

I again emailed support letting them know that I had no "Cancel" button and my account was not month to month but rather pre-paid for a year. Ha ha, yet again another canned response on how to cancel my month to month account.

So today I had to file a claim with Paypal. I advise anyone looking at signing up with this company to stay away.
