Complaint Review: Netfirms Hosting

My husband and I have lost thousands of dollars using Netfirms hosting. They lie about their hosting plans and the functionality of those plans. One (as mentioned by others) is that the Netfirms hosting website(s) are full of bugs, errors, are slow loading and with frequent time-outs. Their help files and "incident reporting" is a complete waste of time, as they do not address them, only use auto replies and insult your intelligence. Once they suggested, we upgrade to a $50 per month hosting plan to remedy the errors and there was absolutely no difference (we had a oscommerce developer verify this)! Netfirms did not acknowledge the importance of this, another insult.

On two occasions (including the above upgrade), they actually sabotaged our control panel so we could not cancel a plan before the (3) day deadline. They accused us of making an error in the control panel causing this! They didn't offer any compromise of refunds when we stated our dissatisfactions.

Companies like Netfirms are only in business because the authorities and/or appropiate investigative agencies are back logged. We have plenty of documentation to prove our bad experiences and hope these kind of scam artists will be prosecuted.
