I joined Netflix on their 2 week free offer and was pleased with the results. Then I signed up for the Unlimited DVD's per month for $39.95 plus tax.

After several weeks of good service, everything seemed to flop. They mailed me (or claimed to have mailed me) 5 DVD's from my Queue on one particular day. I never received the DVD's. After waiting 7 days for an item that was mailed from a location that's about 75 miles from my home I reported them to the company as being lost.

What are the odds of "losing" all 5 separate pieces of mail that were shipped on the same day? Lose 1....maybe 2....but to lose all 5 at the same time doesn't make sense. Something's wrong! They haven't charged me for them yet.....and I'm still a member. But they're listed in my lost DVD report. When I do cancel my membership, they'll probably charge me for them then.

When I reported to them that I hadn't received the DVD's, they immediately resent the same 5 to me (supposedly again) and I received them just fine. I don't believe they actually sent the first 5 that they claimed they did. But I may be stuck with having to pay for them.

There's either a glitch in their system as far as showing they were sent.....or....they say they sent them so that they can charge a customer the full price of a DVD that they say they sent and was never received.

Emails to them did no good. They only answered 1 out of 3 and it was a "form" letter. I don't know what the eventual outcome will be, but you can bet I will contest any charges that may be made to my credit card.

I've seen all alerts about Netflix on this site. In most cases people just little overreacting. I've been with Netflix for more than a year, I found flyer in my DVD player when bought it and sinse then I got it. I had my free two week trial period, I had some disks lost and delayed, mostly when our mailman was on vacation. It is possible that someone was watching my dvds after i sent them back, but after i reported lost dvds couple of times, I guess someones butt was kicked in our postoffice and i get my dvds next day after they mailed from warehouse and they get them back 1-2 days after. I can imagine how many people scream "WHERE IS MY DVDS?!", now you can report dvd as lost after 6 days only, they were probably overloaded with requests. I believe that 85% is USPS fault for late delivery. Comparing to blockbastard and similar stores, oh netflix, i pray on you. I would prefer to wait for my dvd for couple days than spending time standing in lines and looking for parking at blockbastard. I can share some horror stories about blockbuster video if it will make you feel better.

I have been a member for several months and have ALWAYS received DVD's in a timely manner. I am on the "8 DVD's out at a time" program. When I send 4 DVD's back to them, within days, I have 4 new ones. When I send them 8....I get 8 new ones back.

This company is way above board and honest. They do a wonderful job and certainly an asset to E-Commerce.

Don't Worry ... I have been a member of NetFlix for a few years now and I find it to be an outstanding service!

They will not charge you for the list DVDs so dont worry! But, you can get your account suspended for excessive DVD loss.

I can say this MANY DVDs are stolen in the shipment process. It is obvious what is inside those little red envelopes and there are too many untrusting people out there. I, personally, was having numerous DVDs not arriving to me either . Guess what after NetFlix suspended my service, they advised me to file a report with my post office. I did and they reinstated my account with no problem or penalty. But get this come to find out after the post office did its own investigation it was my MAILMAN that was stealing the DVDs! Can you believe it? After he was removed I have not had a problem.

So, dont get stressed NetFlix is a great service and though I was annoyed with having my account suspended due to excessive DVD loss the people there were nice and helped me out. They had to suspend it because I am sure there are many customers that are, in fact, stealing so they are protecting themselves. The people at NetFlix were more than willing to immediately reinstate the account as soon as I complied with their simple request. A little give and take and we all can be satisfied!
