Netwatch ISP charges appeared on my local AT&T phone bill.

This portion of your bill is provided as a service to ILD Teleservices, Inc.

This ISP evidently has a simple web page form that their users can sign up for internet service simply by just providing an address and a phone number. They can enter in some fake numbers for the last four digits of your SSN as well.

The page is located at: netwatchisp.com/JoinNow.asp

This page will fire off an email to whatever email the user puts into the form to confirm the account.

There is a simple button at the bottom of the form that says "I authorize this transaction".

Thats evidently all it takes to put a charge on your local phone bill.

What I did:

I immediately contacted AT&T to block any third party charges to my account.

They put me in touch with ILD to dispute the current charges.

ILD also put a block on billing my phone number from any of the companies that they do business with.
