Complaint Review: Network Direct Inc. NDI

Network Direct (NDI) might be a legitimate company, I didn't maintain my 'membership' long enough to find out.

I am filing this report to tell college kids who receive those cards in the mail that say "Prize Redemption Center" and list a claim number...STAY AWAY!

My roommate and I got one of those cards last year. We called the phone number listed and spoke to someone who told us to go to a meeting a where we'd listen to a presentation and get a prize. Our prize would be a portable cd player or a dvd player they said, so we thought 'hell yeah!' and went.

BIG MISTAKE. First of all, only girls were in the meeting, which makes me think either we ladies are gullible or these people pick young women on purpose. The salesman looked like a college kid himself.

The 'prizes' were assigned by the number on your card, and interestingly no one in the room won anything like a dvd or cd player. Some girls won a weird, shady vacation package and my friend and I got gift certificates for an online store that the salesman said was like skymall. Skymall is classy stuff...this place was crap. My roommate and I laughed at their bizarre tacky merchandise and twenty dollar shipping and handling fees. Obviously our 'shopping sprees' were totally worthless and went right to the trash.

Don't even bother with these people folks! They will waste your time, I promise. And we all know college is too short to waste :).
