Netzero tech support kept me on the phone about 10 minutes or so @1.95 per minute and had me do a lot of unnecessary things and I got no results. I called a local technician and he had me do one simple thing. It took about 30 seconds to get me online. Also whatever she had me do made it work much slower. Ripoff Terre Haute Indiana
Netzero tech support is charging me $1.95 minute. It took about 10 minutes for her to take me through a bunch of steps that didn't work. I am a new customer and they should at least help their customers to get connection established before they start charging. So I called a local technician and he had me do one simple thing and didn't charge anything. Whatever the tech. at netzero did, also slowed down everything. I have high-speed, but now it's sooo slooww.I would at least like to have my $ refunded and if possible get my highspeed back.

NetZERO. This should have been the first clue. And, I have not seen REAL high speed service from Netzero. Only "accelerated" dial up.
Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. This explains having to pay for the "tech support". Most of these people don't actually know anything, they just read from a book.
You never mentioned exactly what type of service you have or what the problem you had was. This would have been helpful.
Also, WINDOWS has a good connections wizard that will troubleshoot most connections problems. I've never seen anything anyone could do to manually slow down a connection. Usually just adware and spyware will do it.
