Complaint Review: New Age Realty

Ignorant staff running a scam on renters.  Workers showing apartments that are not licensed real estate sales people. They never return telephone calls or emails.  You have to physically go to the office.  DO NOT RENT from these shady unethical bums, who do not maintain their buildings.  They bill property owners for services they never rendered-snow removal.  If you have to rent from them, take pictures of the apartment or video tape all damage before you move in.  All former tenants who got shafted by this company, got sick from mold or was rented an apartment that had problems and that information was never disclosed, they should file a Class Action Lawsuit against New Age Realty Group.  If they can't make repairs, put your money in escrow.  Tenants should also call Licenses & Inspections, PA Consumer Protection, obtain the Philadelphia Renter's Agreement and file a complaint with the PA Department of State against their real estate licenses: BARTON L, DIANE M. AND NICOLE CAPRARIO and KARISSA MEYERS.  Apartments they slap primer on to cover leaking roof or ceiling stains, heaters that don't properly produce hot air, drafty windows resulting in huge heating bills, no insulation in floors or walls, mold throughout the walls.  How long does it take for repairs to be made?  Try 6 months.  If your property, television or furniture, gets damaged from their failure to repair a leak, you will be out of luck, unless you take them to court.  Their so called maintenance people are a joke and incompetent.  You never get 24 hours notice.  Your belongings will be stolen.  They give keys to outside contractors to let themselves into your apartment without your consent.  If you complain about repairs, they pull an apartment inspection in an attempt to intimidate the tenant, photographing your belongings, which they post online for your apartment to be broken into.  When you move out, try being sent a bill to your former address for thousands of dollars in make believe damage.  They charge you $50 for an application but they don't do any background or credit checks.  When I ran my credit report, no signs of these bums.  If you lock yourself out, you have to call a locksmith to get the locks changed, then you have to pay them for getting the locks changed.  Try neighbors who sublease the apartment to shady people who have bad credit, then 8-10 bums living in that one apartment, in and out of the building all night long and they all have keys to the building, who never put utilities in their name.  Nasty college students who bring roaches when they move in and leave tons of open alcohol containers and rotted food in their units.  As long as they get that rent, they don't care who they rent to.  Most of their units have so many violations, which they are aware of that they should not be collecting rent.  The only nice person there was Mike and he left earlier this year.
