I had been a customer of NewEgg but no longer. They sold me a 42" LCD TV that didn't work due to defective electronics. Others had written the same symptoms as me on their website in their reviews. When I RMA  the unit and shipped it back the next day, they said it was "damaged" in shipping so they wouldn't take it back  or warranty it. They said I had to file a claim with UPS if I wanted a refund. So now I have nothing but a loss of over $400 at this point. Someone else on Ripoff report mentioned they got a message from "Joshua Key" at customer service and he did nothing. That's exactly what happened to me.  So it looks like I'll have to file a lawsuit against these a**holes.

I am also a corporate IT purchaser for my company so they also lost that business. Cheap thieving idiots!

Dear mdm,We greatly apologize for any inconvenience caused by this uncommon situation, and we assure you that we would never intentionally cause for you to ever be dissatisfied with our services.  That said, if you paid a shipper to return an item that was damaged in transit. Your claim for the loss is with the shipper not Newegg.com .

If this is not the case, I welcome you to please contact me at Maverick.B.Iniguez@newegg.com or call me at 1800-390-1119 ext. 25062 to review this situation and see what can be done on our end.
Thank you,

-"Others had written the same symptoms as me on their website in their reviews."

Wow.

Hopefully you paid with credit card and can get a chargeback.

Forget UPS, they're worthless....

It is possible the TV was damaged in transit. Newegg can not return a damaged TV to the manufacturer. Why do you consider this a rip off?

Did you file a damage claim with UPS?
