I went to New England Auto Finance in Nashua, NH. 6 months ago and took out a loan against my truck. I've been making payments regularly every month with no problems up until this past October when they called and said they
needed a copy of my October (money order) receipt because they  accidentally put my payment towards another account and couldn't find it. I called the 1-800 number on the back of the money order receipt hoping it wasn't cashed yet thinking I could get reimbursed and send out the payment again, but found that NE Auto had already cashed it a few days
after receiving it. I called and told them their company already cashed it. I then sent them the receipt ( which they received) thinking it would resolve the problem. "Yeah right".

I received a call today (Nov 23, 2012) from "Lisa" telling me that  they still can't find Oct' payment and that "I" need to research it and find out where it went. I told her that I researched it back in Oct when they first brought it to my attention and told her it was already cashed by their company and that it was up to them to find out where they put my payment.

Lisa told me that I needed to get a refund on the money order and send her Oct' payment again.  I told her I couldn't get reimbursed on a money order that was already cashed and told her repeatedly that it was already cashed by NE Auto but she refused to listen and kept
insisting that it was up to me to find out where it went. I said it was up to them to find their own mistakes. They told me themselves in Oct that they accidentally put it into someone else' account. How in any way is this my responsibility? I told Lisa to call the 1-800 number and she said she did but no one answered so she left a message. (It's a fully automated system and doesn't have the option to leave a message so I know she lied.) I told her I was done arguing with her and asked for the number to the Corporate office... she gave him the number she called from. I have no idea where to go from here.
