I purchased a used BMW from New England Automax. As part of the sale the car was to include the floor mats and repair of a vibration problem. When I picked the car up 2 days later I found they failed to disclose the fact that the drivers mat was missing and there was only one key (a replacement cost me $130). The car had also been driven over 250 miles and still had a vibration problem.

When I emailed the dealership asking for an explanation about these issues they ignored me. A few days later I asked them why they never responded to my complaints and they continued to ignore me. So I sent an email telling them they left me no choice but to post something on the Internet about how they do business. I finally got a response, but instead of addressing the issues the president threatened me with legal action.

After 4 trips to their service center I still have the vibration issue. During my last visit they claimed to have replaced a bent rim a BMW dealership indicated to be the problem. When I drove away the vibration was still present and when I brought the car back to the BMW dealership they said it still had bent rims. I opened a case with the Better Business Bureau but Automax ignored them too.

On top of all this during a service visit they turned my front rotors because they were slightly warped. About 2 weeks later I almost lost my brakes on the highway and my rim was damaged. Turns out one of the caliper bolts was missing. I believe this is negligence, isn't it!!

Is the kind of dealership you want to do business with?

New England Automax Comes Through

The president of New England Automax called me personally and wanted to resolve my issues. He scheduled an appointment at their service center and they took care of the vibration issue I was having with the car. So we are back on good terms.
