New Hope Modifications LLC Did less in 2 months than I was able to accomplish on my own in less than 24 hours Mt Laurel New Jersey
I signed a contract for mortgage modification services with this company in early January. I paid them $1,450.00 and was assured they would be able to get a modification done for me since forclosure hurts the mortgage company as much as it hurts the customer. I was advised not to pay the mortgage company as they would be more inclined to deal if they weren't getting paid.
By the end of February, nothing appeared to have happened so I attempted to contact New Hope. I left messages and sent e-mails and received no response to either. Finally, I felt that I needed to contact my mortgage company myself. Imagine my surprise when they told me that New Hope had only contacted them breifly and that no arrangements had been made whatsoever. They told me that New Hope did not provide them with any of the information that they needed.
This was a surprise to me because all of the information that they required had been provided to New Hope by me. My mortgage company was more than willing to help me out, fortunately. 24 hours, and another $1,450.00 later, my mortgage is modified and I'm saving $300.00 per month.
I would like at least a partial refund from New Hope since I had to do their job for them, but I suppose that is unlikely. I will chalk this one up to "Lessons Learned" and move on but there is no way I will attempt to use a 3rd party in a situation like this ever again.
