CONTACT THE NEW JERSEY STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL - PUBLICALLY ANNOUNCED ON MAR 16TH

They a have a full blown investigation going on with these scammers. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY - ITS A RIP OFF.

EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE ON CONSUMERAFFAIRS WEBSITE
New Jersey Cracking Down On Mortgage Fraud

In the other two lawsuits, two unrelated companies in South Jersey Hope Now Financial Services Corp. of Cherry Hill and New Hope Modifications of Bellmawr are charged with selling loan modification services that never materialized, and with creating the false impression they were affiliated with a non-profit foreclosure prevention organization known as the Hope Now Alliance. Among other services, the Hope Now Alliance offers free credit counseling with federally-approved counselors.

As part of the actions, Milgram said, the state has asked the court to shut down a Web site operated by Hope Now Financial. Since at least November 2008, Hope Now Financial has advertised loan modification services through a Web site at www.hopenowmod.com.

By posting a video, news articles and links to federal government press releases, the profit-seeking Hope Now Financial has falsely suggested an affiliation with the non-profit Hope Now Alliance, Milgram said. In fact, Milgram noted, there is no connection. Moreover, Hope Now Financial is accused in the state's lawsuit with charging significant fees for loan modification services that were never delivered.

To date, 23 consumers living in New Jersey and out of state have filed complaints against Hope Now Financial with either the Division of Consumer Affairs or the Better Business Bureau. The total amount of money paid by those victims to Hope Now Financial exceeds $29,000.

The third lawsuit charges the Bellmawr-based New Hope Modifications with similar fraud for representing themselves as having an affiliation with the Hope Now Alliance, and for also selling loan modification services that were never provided. To date, the state has identified 80 victims of New Hope, and the total amount of money collected from those victims exceeds $98,000.

Like Hope Now Financial, New Hope Modifications is accused of victimizing New Jersey consumers and those living out of state.

"This kind of predatory activity is reprehensible, especially in this economic climate, and will not be tolerated," said Department of Banking and Insurance Commissioner Steven M. Goldman. "Struggling homeowners were led to believe these companies would help them, but instead the homeowners were exploited. Any individual or financial services organization that attempts to defraud consumers will be subjected to the maximum penalty the law allows."

Among other things, each of the state's three complaints asks the court to order a halt to the defendants' business practices. The lawsuits also seek consumer restitution, imposition of the maximum civil penalties and a freezing of the defendants' assets.

THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY - there are 2 complaints filed, one by the Federal Trade Commision and one by the Attorney General - so, Steve - whoever you are, you need to do your research, or maybe you are one of the many employees from this company that scammed people.

The owner, Brian Mammoccio and his so called "wife", Donna Fisher are both named as Defendents and listed as owners of this company. This is just a small exerpt from the complaint issued by the Attorney General of New Jersey: "Donna Fisher and Brian Mammoccio are causing irreparable harm to consumers by by falsely promising to provide free consultations to distressed homeowners; falsely promising to modifymortgages and prevent foreclosures; and by operating an unlicensed debt adjustment business in the State of New Jersey."

Look it up - Google the owner's name and you will find it. I was scammed but with a different situation - I did a lease/buy back where an investor put my mortgage in her name and she now finds out that the mortgage is behind in payments that were assured for 18 months according to Mammoccio - my home is just 1 of 13 properties this woman has in her name....imagine what that is doing to her credit not to mention we both could lose our homes...so do yourselves all a favor - contact the Attorney General, file charges and do what you can - we are.....

I hope you are right Steve and that this is a legitimate company. We have started the process with this company and it has been two weeks since we gave them money. I have since not heard a word. No emails or phone calls. I can't get a return phone call or email. I specifically said in my voice mail that I did not expect an answer back yet from our lender but that I at least wanted to know that it was being worked on. I called today and finally got a hold of some one else only to be told that the representative that I was working with had moved offices. I was given the number to a corporate office. Funny enough I have not gotten a return call from him either. I have not give up hope yet, I am just crossing my fingers we didn't get scammed. It is making me very un easy that we have not received any contact from anyone yet.

I appreicate your reply Steve. I have been scammed before in the past and with your response, it assured me that everything should be ok. I have paid my full balance and was told that my file is currently "Your file is still in review. It is with a negotiator which is a good step. We have left her a message to please give us a call if their are any problems. It does take them a few weeks to complete the process. I will be following up again this week. I like to follow up weekly just to be a pain for them so that they hurry up." I can't complain so far with this company. I am notified and updated. I have noticed that I have received late calls nor any letters from my mortgage company since I hired New Hope, so guess that is some Hope. Angela, Delaware

People pay for our services due to the fact MOST lenders will not work a resonable
solution out for the client. Most of the time when a client calls the first thing they
you hear is "this call may be used in attempt to collect a DEBT". Not really the right person to talk too considering that all they want is ALL of your money NOW, so the person you are talking too in debt collection can make a percentage off your imeditate payment!!!!

Now to comment on this "the lender gave me a modification" NO they dont just give you a modification it was due to the fact New Hope Modifications gave your information to the right people and when it was reveiwed for prob 10th time with in 2 weeks our company and the lender worked out you terms! Some clients have an expectation of they sent money to us and all their documents and the next 2 weeks every DAY they are calling and asking if its done yet!!!! It takes 30 to 45 days! We have too send an authorization form to them and that takes a few days to be approved by the lender. Your case then goes in to mitigation and terms are negotiated to the best situation for the client. It takes 30 to 45 days for a modification to be complete during that time the loan is reveiw almost daily by the lender due to the fact it has reached the right people and our compeany is dueing everything to help your situation. Some clients hear what they want too.. {negotiate} means exactly that, we can not say for sure what the lender will do for you. It depends on many things like your relationship with your lender, if all the information your telling us over the phone is truthful. etc....

If all the company does for you is KEEP YOU IN YOUR HOME then i think they did an great job. You know where your kids will be sleeping every night and the feeling in the pit of your stomach goes away! If your expenses are 3,000 a month and you bring home 5,000 a month you should not be having problems with your mortgage. You are the one who put yourself in this situation and now here you are IN YOUR HOME on your computer saying how bad they where...hmmm...walk through your house and look at what WE again WE saved for YOU! .....dont be so ungrateful and i hope you had a great Thanksgiving IN YOUR HOME!
