New Horizons Computer Learning Centers I feel cheated Bloomfield , Connecticut
I attended this "school" back in 2003. I was lured in by the big song and dance presentation, was told that they could get me my IT education. my first class was on DOS, very basic stuff, my next 2 classes were for A+ i was not very impressed by this teacher we were taught very basic things such as the abacus which has nothing to do with your A+ at all. My teacher even told us he had fixed malfunctioning hard drives by placing them in esd bags for a few days. the classes were rushed 1-2 day classes all out of the book which is a worthless tool, no real world applications were used.
my education counselor, one of many that i had, told me that all i needed was my A+ certification and he could then get me in a internship to further my education while i took more classes. well this never came to be. i was then told to just get my N+ and he would again get me in a internship by this time i was on my 3rd counselor, the other 2 had quit.
i could no longer wait and got myself a job working in a factory so i could start paying back this loan.
i have tried to get some resolve of this on my own with nothing but runaround from the company. until recently i had given up hope of resolve until my current financial crises has me looking into resolve once again. i have contacted the company again only to be told they don't hold records back that far. since the loan is held with Key Bank and not with the company itself i cant just not pay because they dont have records. i am hopeful that someone will see this and point me in a direction where i can be helped. i have since moved out of Connecticut so i cannot just go to the school and talk to someone face to face.
i feel like i was cheated and lied to and im still paying for something that was not obtainable under those conditions.
