Complaint Review: New Millenium Metal Roofs And Covered Gutter - Arnold Sullivan - Ken Mcwhirter

In April 2004 two men came to my home offering their buisness of home improvement. My husband and I spoke with them and agreed on a price of $10,911. This price included new siding, gutters, windows, downspouts, shutters and the removal of the old. We signed a contract that evening stating that we would pay them in thirds. The 1st being as a deposit, 2nd on the delivery of material and 3rd on completion.

We paid the 1st and 2nd ($7274) as agreed but they didn't deliver all of the material, only the siding. After our 2 story home was sided half way up they came to us wanting the alst payment in advance to pay for the windows. We refused and told them to stand by their contract.

After that they packed up and didn't return. I called the material co. and they told me that in fact none of the material had been paid for, not even the insulation and siding that is on our home. They also informed me that they will be placing a lean on our home if it isn't paid for soon.

I have contacted the states attny., attny. general, local police, my state rep., and a private attny. All of which say that they have broken the law (theft by deception) but no one is in a hurry to help.

Our home is setting half sided with no storm windows or gutters. Reports have been filed with all of the above. What else can we do?
