I ordered online from these unethical folks just after Halloween. After several weeks of waiting, my order appeared, however, it was misssing the main thing I ordered.

I looked at the billing slip inside and was saw the charge for it. Figuring that they were back ordered, I let it go a couple more days.

After contacting the "New Moon" freaks, they said that it was put in the package. Funny, it must have miraculously disappeared, eh?

They then went on to tell me that it was backordered and that I had not been charged for that particular item. Yeah right, the bill is still on my card and they say that there is nothing more they can do and to have a happy holiday as they move on to screw the next unsuspecting person.

My advice?? NEVER order online and divulge your credit card to incompetent and unknown people online--no matter what deal they are offering or selling...unfortunately, it is very easy for scum like this to take advantage of people.

I hope my stupidity can save another out there from this aggravation!

I'm afraid this is a false report. Sorry. I hope that after seeing this rebuttal you will see we are not "scum" or "unethical".

The individual Debra Pulver sent an order for smoking herbs on December 1st, 2001 which is quite awhile after Hallowe'en and her order was shipped December 6th, 2001 from the UK to the US by Air Mail small packet. The order was for Head in the clouds ($9), Jamacian Ganja ($7), normal size smoking papers ($0.85) and Special Cigarettes ($4.50). Shipping on all orders under $25 being shipped to the US is $5.

These prices and terms can be verified on our website and in our catalogue. Ms. Pulver was charged for the Jamacian Ganga, rolling papers and cigarettes totalling $12.35 + $5 shipping. This totals $17.35 and on the day in question we got a 1.401 exchange rate giving us a UK pounds price of 12.39 which we charged to Ms. Pulver and which I can prove as we retain
a copy of all card slips for legal reasons.

Ms. Pulver then claimed that she was charged "$29" which is not possible since a) we can't charge in US$ and b) we charged her 12.38 pounds sterling Ms. Pulver then got abusive and eventually filed this report.

I hope I have been able to show sufficiently that Ms. Pulver was not ripped off by us.

In the UK, it is not legal for a company to charge for something it does not ship. Ms. Pulver's charges in her report are serious indeed had they been true. I'm pleased to be able to report that this is not the case and I can and will provide paper records to back up what I have stated here.

We also never said we had included the smoking herbs - we in fact stated we had not and had not charged for them. I regret this is another falsehood in this report we can prove as we archive correspondence for legal reasons.

I'm afraid that the truth is that there is nothing more we can do. We have not received any money for the goods and so are unwilling to ship smoking herbs to this woman for free.
