New Subscriptions of New York ripoff consumer fraud ripoff Newburgh New York
I received a 3-month free subscription to both Rosie and National Equirer. I called before the three-month period to National Equirer and wrote Rosie. I was told by the National Equirer that they would put my subscription on hold but I would have to call New Sub to cancel. I tried for two weeks to get in touch with them, and no one answered and there was not voice mail, etc.
I gave up and thought everything was okay as I was not receiving the subscriptions any more. Approximately two weeks ago, the subscriptions started coming again. I wrote the National Equirer and told them that I did not want this subscription. D
uring that time I received a letter from my credit card company stating that a $56 fee was trying to be placed on my account. They were investigating it and I should contact the company. That led me to my e-mail to National Equirer. I have been told by National Equirer by subscription has been cancelled from New Sub as of 10/9/02. This is a subscription that should have never been renewed, and I took the appropriate steps in order to get this taken care of. Is New Sub of New York a legitimate company? If so, they should have someone answering the phone, etc.
