I was extremely excited when I found these sheets as I have not been able to find a fitted sheet to properly fit my new memory foam mattress. The reviews I read convinced me to make the move despite the slightly inflated price.
When the sheet arrived I followed the instructions on the sheet included with the product. I tried pulling the cords once, then twice, gently at first then with a bit more pressure. But the cord didn't move and the sheet remained loose. I decided to check the website of the company to see if I was doing anything wrong. But I was doing exactly as the instructions and video showed. So, I tried again and the sheet ripped. Imagine my displeasure.
I emailed the company to tell them I wanted a refund, or at least a new sheet. A representative of the company, Robert Briganti, refused to refund my money or return the sheet. Understand the company's website claims, in bold letters in a large font, "YOUR PURCHASE IS RISK FREE!!" Apparently Robert Briganti either doesn't understand what "risk free" means or he is simply an unscrupulous businessman who doesn't honor his guarantees. in fact, he didn't even engage me in a civil conversation that might have led to a more pleasant experience and resolution. Clearly this guy has no clue about service or how to win customer loyalty.
I'm not suggesting all the sheets are terrible (the other reviews suggest otherwise--of course they might be shills for the company--I'm saying "might be" not that they are). I might have received a sheet with an obstruction stopping the cord from pulling properly. Or, perhaps my particular setup (a memory foam mattress on top of a slatted platform bed--no box spring or foundation) isn't ideal for this mattress--maybe the cord gets stuck with the pressure of the mattress and the slats. Honestly I don't know, and Robert Briganti was never cordial enough to begin a discourse on this matter.
The biggest mistake I made was not ordering through Amazon or another site that protects their customers. I know Amazon would have backed me in my dispute. I'm having a hell of a time with PayPal, who it seems, simply cares about if you received the item. The fact that it was defective doesn't mean much to them.
Be aware New Visions Products/drawstringsheets.com doesn't honor their guarantee. If you buy a sheet here and it doesn't work for you, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!

First of all, these sheets work great if one takes care not to force the thing until it rips. See it here: www.drawstringsheet.com
I don't know what was wrong with this customer as he was not willing to explain anything beyond the sheet not working and ripped. Basically, the customer tore the sheet and wanted a refund. He didn't ask for a replacement as he states. He claimed that it was defective. This made no sense. I offered to mend it if he pays half the shipping. He refused demanding a refund once again and a return shipping label, which also made no sense as we would ship it back and discard it when he could throw it away himself. I requested he send a picture so we can see if it was defective but he refused and opened a claim with Paypal. He was offered a half refund through Paypal dispute correspondence but refused and Paypal ruled against him. There was no communication from him after that, only complaint postings here and elsewhere.
This customer is claiming, referring to me, "he didn't even engage me in a civil conversation that might have led to a more pleasant experience and resolution." This statement is a lie and this customer should take care that fraudulent postings of this nature are potentially libelous. I have provided the exact email exchange below that shows the customer is lying about there not being any civil discussion. The customer also indicates in his posting that our testimonials "could" be false and that people were paid to make them, which could also be found to be libelous.

If you can ship the sheet back we can mend it and then ship it back. We would be willing to pay for one way shipping back to you. We can only accept returns of undamaged products for refunds. Sorry. If the cords are pulled outward the sheet will tear. There is a possibility that you can get it mended there but I think it's probably cheaper to ship it to us for repair.

I followed the instructions. The sheet does not pull tight--it just stops. I would prefer a refund at this point, especially if you only "mend" what seems to be a defective sheet. It is new. I have the packaging. It has not been used or washed. Please send prepaid shipping and refund my money.

Can you send a picture of the defect? The policy is if you are not satisfied with the product that it can be returned in new condition so that it can be resold. If we can see the defect it would help to get exception from normal policy.
