Complaint Review: New York Taxi Workers Alliance

Rizwan Raja was supposed to represent me at a trial for a TLC ticket, and both times he was absent. He did not even bother showing up the fist time, and after calling him several times he did not even give a reason as to why he did not show up so he suggested to get a second trial date. The second court date that I attended, he STILL did NOT show up! I called him several times the day before and the morning of my trial date but he never picked up. So I had to face the judge alone who was so angry because my lawyer was absent again. With that said, I had to plead guilty due to Rizwan Raja's negligence BOTH TIMES. I have called Bhairavi Desai countless times to report his lack of help and communication but got nowhere. After weeks of trying to get ahold of someone, a represtative of NYTWA finally told me that they are not responcible for Rizwan Raja's actions and that whatever happened it was between us. This company does NOTHING to help you like they claim to do and it the worst and most unprofessional and stressful experience of my life. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
