NewChic Paid for Shipping -- Goods Never Arrived Hong Kong
I wish I had looked at all of the negative reviews before I ordered from this company. Not disclosed until AFTER the credit card payment is accepted: NewChic has NO fulfilment method in the US. Shipping is out of Hong Kong and that slow boat never arrives.
Tiny print AFTER the credit card payment is accepted: once "shipment" is confirmed, there are no refunds. Email that alleged "shipment" is confirmed comes within minutes of credit card payment verification. So where are my goods if there were, in fact, shipped? They were not shipped: that was a lie.
It appears that the company makes it money no from selling merchandaise but by using customer credit card charges. No order can be cancelled after the goods allegedly ship and they never arrive. The "sale" was a mehtod to collect credit card numbers.
This business is a scam.
I've put my credit card company on alert and filed a dispute.
Lots of negative comments about the same problem on other scam reporting sites. The online "help" system doesn't work. The phone number for customer service is bogus. The online "chat" is bogus. Replies to customer complaints are "Oh, we are so sorry you are disappointed" but then put the responsibility for the failure to ship ordered goods on the customer.
