About a year ago this same company, Newsmax Media was charging my credit card between 20 and 30 dollars a month for I dont know what.  It took me a long time to even figure out who they were. They said I ordered some magazine online.  I did not. I do not have time to read magazines and I do not get magazines.  It took them 3 or 4 months before they quit charging me.

Again this month I noticed them charging me $49.50.  They said this is for the "Franklin Prosperity Report".  I told them I do not want or know what it is, have never seen one and not to charge me. I found out that I ordered a book for FREE but paid the shipping charges of $4.95 and that is how they got my credit card to charge me.

The first three times I called them I got hung up on. The fourth time I was on hold nearly 20 minutes. I believe this company gets your credit card number and info from other sources then makes up some bogus charge to charge you for without your consent or without you realizing that they are gonig to do this.

As a conservative, I search for the truth, for many years I have seen Newsmax and some of their subsidiaries publish articles of interest to the Conservative, but reading the fine print, and yes, I bit on a couple of their offers, I know the are a crooked, lying, scamming money grabbing outfit with NO concern for the consumer. This organization, in my mind, is the worst kind of scammer. Their copywriters must be paid a fortune, they will say anything to sucker in a subscriber. They promise the moon, will twist even the most minueta to grab your attention and charge your credit card, and charge, charge and charge. Customer service is oh so apologetic, when, after hours trying to reach them, but the charges go on. Newsmax, in my opinion, is the worst form of use of freedom that this planet has ever seen, but I have not lived in Iran or communist China.

On that point, an outright government lie, is understandable, controlled information, but to go to the freedom loving American and outright lie just to sucker them into monthly charges, is treason, a betrayal of trust. Never believe, no matter how much you want to hear the information, anything from Newsmax, they are a disgrace to journalism, a sham of money hungry, cheating, lying advertizers. Unsubscribe to all their e-mails, they only attempt to get your credit card number, at whatever they think you are interested in, health (all more advertising, those are the ones I bit on) wealth or freedom, all aimed to separate you from your money. To God fearing, red blooded American they prey on, with no conscience, no fear, no truth, Oh, they are so ugly!

NewsMax Health a Scam - Tips for Consumers

I want to also add to the negatives reports against NewsMax. They did not get any money from me but they send me an online newsletter and offered free gifts. When I clicked on the orange button I noticed that they asked for my billing address and my credit card. I knew then that it is a scam. Always ask yourself, if it is free why do they need my credit card and billing information?

It is very important that we learn something from this. When we receive information from strangers and they want any part of our personal information, no matter what the circumstances, we should not provide them with any information such as social security number, credit card, etc... Just remember that they are people that wake up every day trying to find ways to scam and hurt others.

We as consumers should protect ourselves. I should know because I have been scammed before and it has taken years to clean up the mess that was left behind. I know that most of you are saying that you already know what I am telling you but somehow we let our guard down when we are confronted with various circumstances or should I say sales pitch garbage that these swindlers and con artist present us with. We have to think like those criminals for a moment when we are faced with a transaction and protect ourselves and our family at all cost.

I also receive their email - thank you for filing this report. I sincerely hope that you can break free of this evil a-moral entity. They always get the poor folk using their desperation as a way to scam them. I have been a victim and know that the negative practices you mention are systemic. Until we have better and fairer regulation we are at the mercy of such nasty businesses. They want profits and wish to give no service, including responding to your service calls, then wonder why they are in the red? DUH!
