We received a postcard in the mail at the beginning of Feb. 2001, claiming that we were pre-approved for an unsecured credit card worth up to 5,000.00. Both my wife and I having bad credit in the past and wanting to obtain a credit card to help rebuild our credit, thought we would look into this.

When we called, we were promised two credit cards, one for 2,500.00 which would be sent immediately, along with a packet, which included a bonus for a 3 Day/2 Night Vacation choosing from over 25 Destinations Worldwide, and $200.00 worth of coupons. The second credit card worth $5,000.00 would be sent later. All we had to do was send them $239.89 (via check, money order, or debitcard~we choose debitcard) This money was explained to be needed for processing fees and such. The money was also guaranteed to be returned if we received our packet, and was not interested in their offer.

The money was withdrawn from our account on Dec. 8, 2001, with the promise it would only take 4-6 weeks for the first card and packet to arrive. So, we figured the end of Dec. Maybe the beginning of January 2002. They even provided us with a tracking number to call back and check on our acct. We called them at the end of December 2001 and they told us they were still processing our account, we were not happy, and we let them know it....they had already had our money, and it had been 5 weeks! So, they asked us to please be patient, and it would be sent out as soon as possible. So, we waited, until mid-Feb. 2002. We called a second time. This time the excuse was that they had such an overwhelming response to the ads, that they did not have enough packets to mail, and they were waiting for the printing company to get more of them. But our packet should be mailed by the end of that week. So, we called again at the end of the week, and were told that our packet and credit card was mailed. So, again, we waited. The fourth phone call we made on March 12, 2002. This time, the gentleman (well, if you want to call him a gentleman), told us that the packets were still on backorder, and this really got us nervous, and upset, we did not understand then, how could our packet have been mailed, if it was still on backorder?!~hmm, so we asked him about it, and we were put on hold. He came back, and said, well, your packet must have gotten lost in the mail....we will send you another one today! (hmmm, thought they were still on backorder?!)...Ok, so he promises that he had one to send us, and that it would be priority mailed to us. We will get it in 14 days...if we don't call back. So, again, waited...and and NO Packet! So, we then tried to call them on March 26, 2002. Their phones are disconnected!! Help!! How can we get our money back from these thieving deceivers?!
