NEXTEL COMMUNICATIONS DID NOT REFUND DEPOSIT WILL NOT RESPOND, RUINING CREDIT Reston Virginia .....

We put a 1000.00 deposit on 2 phones for my husband and myself in April of 2001. The terms and conditions were that we had to keep the phones on for a year and at the end of the term we wold recieve a refund in the amount of the deposit.

Well, April of 2002, we called Nextel to check the status of our refund and they would tell us that they did show that we were entitled and that it would be there in a few weeks.

The few weeks came around and nothing. To make a long story short, that went on for a long time.(about 7 monthes) Finally, my husband wrotes letters to the corporate office and they responded with emails saying that we did not put a deposit down.

That was a lie. We had to because of our credit, each phone was 500.00 deposit each. Anyway, after they sent emails saying we never put a deposit on the phones, a few days later, we recieved a check in the mail in the amount of 1000.00 from Nextel.

The check simply stated 'Refund'. The next month we recived a bill from them for the 1000.00 they sent us. Oh by the way, we cancelled our service back in August when this was really getting to me. So now they still bill us for the refund amount.
