I seen NFPT brochure in LA Fitness. It said for 700 dollars you can get two days of Personal Fitness trainer class plus study material so you can pass the certification exam. I did the two days of class and was not impressed by the instructor, did teach us anything that was on the exam. None of the exam questions never came from none of the study material.

I failed the exam the first time. Needed 750 score and I scored 600, it seemed to me that the score was set to high to achieve. I paid another 150 dollars to retake the exam, I studied the material and again there was different questions on the exam that were not in the study material even a few trick or reworded questions.

I ended of failing it again scoring 650. I gave up after that, its seemed like a scam once you pay the 700 dollars they set the score so high for the final exam that they know you at least 80% of the takers will retake and pay a retake fee 150 bucks.  I ended up losing about 1000 dollars total and no certification.

I paid for the CPR class on accident. When I called them and told them I already have a CPR card they still wouldn't refund my CPR money of $250.00. This goes to show you how much they are hard up for money and not helping the customer.

None of the exam questions never came from none of the study material.
- So you were expecting them to tell you what the questions are?

I failed the exam the first time. Needed 750 score and I scored 600, it seemed to me that the score was set to high to achieve.
- Well for you at least that was the case. In looking at this exam the top score is 1000. Which means that you would need to achieve a 75% on the test to pass, in terms of letter grades that equates out to about a "C", and pretty standard.

I studied the material and again there was different questions on the exam that were not in the study material even a few trick or reworded questions.
- Of course they were different questions. These Certification exams are not looking for people who can memorize items from a book. They are looking for people that can take what they know, analyze it, and apply it to a situation.

so high for the final exam that they know you at least 80% of the takers will retake and pay a retake fee 150 bucks
- Actually NO. According to the statistics 72% of the people PASS on the first try, which as Certification Exams go is around the average.

What we have here is the typical cocky kid thinking they "know everything" where they should just be told what is on the test so they can spend the least amount of time studying.  The interesting thing is that you did get 650 points, and increased your score by 50 points the second time. Honestly, if you truly put the effort in, studied, and practiced the CONCEPTS in the study guides it would be very likely you could pass the exam.

But if you just give up then that basically proves you are really nothing more than the stereotypical millennial.
