NHCD IS a rip-off and so is their associate Matrix Telecom. They co-ordinate their lies and promises with each other to rip people off, so not only are employees ripped off by one company but they're ripped off by two in the same employment. Someone said if you have a good manager you can make good money. I have to say my manager did nothing but make the situation worse for me, and to NHCD a good manager is one that is a good liar!!!

Every time I called my manager with an issue, it took DAYS for her to get back to me so therefore she cost me money. And when you, so called, advance to recruiting, you take all these self- promotion classes and are told to advertise yourself in all these different ways, but when I did that my manager tried to tell me that I wasn't making any money because I wasn't working hard enough, and all the advertising I was doing I was putting my hours into the wrong areas of the position but yet that IS what I was told to do by another manager and trainer.

And Matrix is not $19.95 a month like they tell you to tell new hires. They charge you for EVERY call, including ones made for NHCD. And since I've quit and stopped using Matrix they are charging me monthly as if I were using their service. This whole scam has got to be brought to a halt immediately.

Deedee,

This is great news if they are really filing for bankruptcy. Do you have inside knowledge of this? I'm just curious. Unfortunately if that's true, they're probably just doing a reorganization and they'll use their new name (Global Home Sourcing). This would also explain why they are changing banks. Some companies move their banks to another state to make it harder to collect on them.

Give us the full scoop girl!!!!

Then come oct of this year bang no more job...I was staying at roughly 500-700 a week..One day i get a call that i did something wrong and that i was to take a leave of absence...Yeah right no such thing you have to take a leave of absence not order it (Grant)..The company held back 3 weeks of pay from me and never paid me ...Excuses excuses....Then after threats and continuouse phone calls i finally got them ...But after they were chopped all up with "charge backs"..How can you go from having no charge backs to 7-11 a week ?????????????
This great though becasue if it was not for NHCD getting rid of me I would not have found this great job that I have now...Anyone working for this company get out when you can...The strees along will get to you...Buy the way all the things that the company was acusing me of do not exsist they just made all of that up to scare me ...well guess what it did not work....The company is going bank rupted tha is why all of your pay checks are bouncing.....Please any questions feel free to ask iwill tell you the truth about this unethical company tha you all work for....

You Will Soon Find Out

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

Kirsty,
You will soon find out what kind of company NHCD is when your checks start bouncing and when they start holding your leads back. I was a manager with the company as well as senior management. I was with the company for well over 4 years. Did you know that people can use their own unlimited long distance. The thing is that they do not want people useing their own unlimited LD because then NHCD does not make any money. They charge a fee for the access code that is a joke!! It does not cost the company anything for the access code. You can call global crossings and find that out. That is where the access code comes from. And for the RX card that service is free. Grant (the president) only puts his logo on the card. The service is actually free. You can do research on the net about that.

And about hiring people to work for the company when I did hire anyone I would tell people to get unlimited LD so they did not have to pay for the service. I did not have the heart to take peoples money for something that is FREE!! I think about people and them needing a job. I don't just look for the BUCK!! NHCD only look's for the BUCK!!

And YES I was one of the GOOD managers that cared about my team and never left them hanging. But when Grant and his pions start treating a GOOD manager like myself badly it is time for me to go. Just wait till you start making $600 a week and then your paychecks go down to $50 a week. And they even start bouncing. HUMMMM why do you think he had to switch banks. The FUNNY thing is checks are still bouncing on the new bank account.

Grant if you read this I think it is time for you TO FOLD!!!

Matrix/NHCD I "am" for sure saying RIP-OFF

Just give them time. You haven't been there long enough for them to put the screws to you yet, but just know that that is why ex-employees post on this site to prevent current employees from taking one for the company. Any company that charges you for a "service that you are not using" is a rip-off. If you are working 20-24 hrs per week just to cover the charges you incur to do this job, you are wasting your time. Loyal companies do not charge YOU, the employee, to work for them.

That "Bad Apple" is NHCD

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, August 08, 2005

Thats cute how you state that other people didnt make it with the company because they were put under "bad apples" for managers. The only bad apple is the company itself. The innocent people arent to blame, they dont know how the company works until they get into management and then you really have to find yourself in the right position to be talked to by other senior managers who tell you everything! Thats how it worked with me at least. I had a recruiting manager who told me everything that happened in meetings when I was just a recruiter. I went on to management and I had 2 managers that told me everything that went on in senior manager meetings, including things from Grant and personal issues about other managers that were told to them in confidance. I usually knew who was being fired and for what reason instantly just because I had those types of managers.

Now, as far as the phone service only being $18.95 a month to cover a portion of the phone bill you generated. Thats a joke. Here is how that works. NHCD has a contract with a phone company, Matrix, Qwest, whoever it is now. They have an unlimited long distance account, with you as an authorized user, hence the 1010XXX number you dial. Thats a dial around number that is billed to whoever XXX is for a flat rate of say $5 a month per authorized user. You are paying $19, who do you think gets that extra $? Yep, NHCD. Have you noticed how NHCD doesnt take the monthly fee out of your check? They cant collect if you arent making any money so they take it from your credit card. That way, if you quit or arent productive, they still make money off of you and everyone else by taking the phone fee until you decide to stop your service and pay a cancellation fee. Funny how that works huh?

Still think its worth having for a few years? Thats what I thought too. I now work for a company that pays me every 2 weeks, W2 employee, $9 an hour, up to 40 hours a week, recorded calls, no scams, no selling, no set up costs, no out of pocket expense and guess what? We use a 1010 number also. We get the bill, submit it to Service800 and they pay the bill. I dont pay a portion, I dont pay a fee, I just get paid for doing my job.

I wouldn't say rip-off

#9UPDATE Employee

Wed, July 20, 2005

I have been employed with NHCD since 5/31/05. I have recieved paychecks, held back two weeks then weekly after that( unless the amount falls under $20 then it rolls-over into the following paycheck). I'm not rolling in dough, but It has covered the fee's taken from me. I do lead generating and recruiting for them. As far as my team goes we do not use the Matrix plan ( I don't even know what that is). We use an access code. Their is a $19.95 refundable security deposit on the access code, refundable after 30 days , provided it was only used for your business calls. And you pay a portion of your business usage, $18.95 per month. Honestly that is cheap if you put in allot of calls, I don't know maybe for some part time workers it would seem like a rip-off.

Except for an occational opening in sales, my team only hires people as independance contractors, not w2 employees. So there are downfalls to that obviously, if you have a bad week your paycheck will suffer. I usually put in 4 hours a day total, 5 to 6 days a week, depending on how well I did that week. I do not get pressure from my managers, they are both nice, and helpful. Perhaps some of the conflict people have had with this company is they had been placed under a bad apple. If we don't meet goal on our team , I don't catch any grief over it, we just get an extra-peppy e-mail the following Monday.

Anyhow as of now ( for my team ) People are hired as 1099 employees, you are charged $18.95 per month for the access code, you do get paid( how much depends on how well you do), I have not experienced any pressure or bad behavior from my management staff, if they are reciing pressures they do not pass it along to the people under them ( nice change from a 9-5 job there).
So yes this job is not for everyone, but it's not exactly a rip-off either, and it might be pyramid'ish. But I do enjoy being able to stay home with my children, and being able to take them here and their with out worry, and not having to call in and catch grief if they are sick. Do I see my self staying with this company for the next 10 years probably not. But I couldn't find part-time work anywhere else, so I figured I'd give it a try, and I am not unhappy with it. I could see myself doing it for a few years until my children are older and I have more freedom.

I'm so sorry this happened to you Matrix plan is definately a ripoff

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

Kelly,

I'm so sorry you were misled by NHCD. The Matrix plan is definately a ripoff. To take it a step further, NHCD makes money off each and every recruit that signs on with them. That's why they were doing it. They're back to using access codes now, which again, costs the company nothing but they still charge you for it. It's a scam through and through.

So I would cancel Matrix or freeze your account to get them to quit charging you. I know it stinks but at least you'll be rid of them.

Be happy that you're done with the company and got out before you were really sucked in.
