I came across NHCD when i was on WAHM.com (work at home moms)It seemed like it could be a legitimate opportunity so i called the number on the listing. There was no answer so i left a message. My call was returned by a very friendly and professional sounding woman. She told me that they need people to work in their lead generation department. And that they pay a weekly salary or i can choose a commission based salary which she recommended because it pays more.

It sounded like somthing i could do being that i have experience in sales. She said that i would need to have unlimited long distance on my phone and recommended the company's as it would be easier for them compensate me for my work that way. I told her that i can get unlimited long distance from my local phone company but yet she insisted that i would have to use her companys service so i agreed. She asked for a credit card and said that it would cost just 18 dollars a month. I then attended the orientation and training class over the phone.

THe following day she sent me an email with everything i needed to get started working. When i tried to place long distance calls according to the instructions in the email the calls wouldn't go through.

Eager to start working i dialed the numbers using my own long distance service and was succesful in setting 4 leads.

At 4 dollars a piece i knew that this job wasn't gonna be worth it for me unless i could get on the weekly salary pay instead.

I called her and told her that i had been using my own long distance service to make the calls and that i wanted to switch to the weekly pay instead. she said that she has to call the company to see whats going on with my line and that she would call me back. I didnt hear from her days went by.

When friday came along i called my bank to check my balance since i have small deposits coming in from freelance work i do at home. They told me that there was a 30 dollar charge from NHCD that day.

I called her to ask her why they charged me 30 dollars when she had said that it was only 18 dollars a month and aside from that the service doesn't work on my phone. I asked her to cancel it she then said that she cant do anything for me until after the weekend.

On saturday she called to say that i wouldnt have to cancel it since the company was now gonna mail me a box that i would hook up to my phone and that would be what i would use instead of the 10 10 number she had given me.

At this point i had become very skeptical about her and NHCD and told her that i just want to cancel everything and that i dont want them charging me 30 dollars a month. She then said that the 30 dollars is a good faith fee that the company asks for but that they return it after 30 days and that they would only charge me 18 dollars a month thereafter.

I'm glad that i decided to go online and check this company out i hadn't had the time to do so before because i was busy now thanks to this website i can see that they are a rip off. I called my bank and asked them to change my account number.

first of all the only question she asked me was what kind of phone service i use. She never explained anything about a $29.95 fee but instead said that i would be charged $18.00 for a long distance service which turned out to be nothing more than a 10 10 number that does'nt work on my phone. Since that time I have not gotten one single call from her. But i'm sure i'll hear from her once they realize that i am disputing the $29.95 charge from NHCD and blocking them from further charges.

This doesn't make any sense....

I am currently an employee, and your story doesn't make sense. First of all, the 1010 access code is a dual feature. The access code is necessary to have. When you dial 1010 the three digit code and the person's number of whom your calling, it reroutes the call back to HQ for monitoring purposes and reroutes the long distance charges. It sounds like you did not have a tradition phone line, which is required for the access code to work. It sounds as if possibly you have a digital phone line. Did the person that hired you qualify you, meaning determine your internet connection and type of phone line? Please respond to this question?

When you hired, you are not processed for $18.95, but a SECURITY DEPOSIT(THAT MEANS YOU GET IT BACK), for $29.95. Did the person that hired you explain this?
