Be careful folks! Hotjobs.com is supposed to be a legitimate website where you can search legitimate career opportunities with legitimate companies.

NHCD is a nationwide multi-level-marketing pyramid scheme that is recruiting very heavily on Hotjobs.com right now, and you might not realize that NHCD requires an investment until you've wasted alot of time.

Even worse, like others who have written to ripoffreport.com you might actually get suckered into this scheme and then you're out time AND money!

Hotjobs.com should remove the NHCD ads immediately if they want to help their own reputation!

What's so funny they brag there's no investment

#17UPDATE EX-employee responds

Fri, July 01, 2005

Hey DC! What's so funny about this company is they brag there's no investment of any sort but neglect to tell people they have to pay for their own access code ($18.95 monthly last I heard), and if you move into recruiting, you're looking at adding a "free" 800 # (costs a lot more than that) + 3way conferencing on your landline. That doesn't include the reams of paper you use keeping updated on policies and script changes and the advertising you pay for either by way of website, classifieds, etc.

And if you move into management, the company gives you an 800# totally free, but to keep any sort of family life in your home, you either have to add a business landline so you can shut the ringer off, or shut your own ringer off because people will be calling all hours of the day (my latest call one night was past midnight). Or you can use that 800# you purchased while in recruiting so you can set it to turn on only during your business hours. Quite a hassle if you ask me. Even if you do use your 800 line, your caller id shows your home # so basically people can call you whenever they want.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I love the post on this thread about nhcd not being an mlm because you don't have to recruit anyone beneath you. that's a load of bull. If you are in management, that's the only way you'll make any $$.

Anyway, have a great 4th and remember to stay away from this company!

Presentations NHCD told all of us managers

#17UPDATE EX-employee responds

Fri, July 01, 2005

Oh - and NHCD told all of us managers that the presentations had to be 15 seconds or longer to count, when in actuality, the person processing the refunds was looking for presentations that were over 17 seconds long. You may think that 2 extra seconds is nothing, but for a lot of my reps that tried to get their refund back and were denied, it was everything.

As far as the refunds of the deposits go...

#17UPDATE EX-employee responds

When I was a Sr. Manager for the company, I was speaking to the person who handled refunding the deposits and was amazed to find out that over 50% of the people that paid their deposit, whether it was $69, 74, or 19.95, never ever even requested it back. Out of the people that did request it back, only about 50% of those people actually got it back by meeting the 'requirements' of the week. Basically that breaks down to only 25% of people overall ever received their deposit back.

And that's not a rip off???? Give me a break!

NHCD is not a scam

I tried working for NHCD about two years ago. They do charge a deposit on the training and such, but it is fully refunded after you you make a certain amount of calls. It is extremely easy to reach that number of contacts in the amount of time they give you. The job did not work out for me, but I got a full refund and was paid for everything that I earned. I also had a great superviser. I have known many people who have had to pay deposits on uniforms to work at certain jobs, this is no different.

Yes every company has disgruntled employees and former employees. That IS what we are considered as, right, Grant? The fact are this:

1) We do have certain requirements to abide by otherwise we will be demoted or even terminated.

2) NHCD does have sneaky advertising tactics, I've done the interviews to know what ad's they are responding to.

3) You ARE making a good buck on the deposits being made for the "Access Codes" even if they ARE indeed refunded (which mine was) you can bear so much interest on all the deposit money. 4) Your own management tactics have proven you don't even know wha tis going on in your own company. That is why you have a class action suit pending against your company from Tonya Cran, Stephanie Hatcher and Aliscyn Diperna, or am I wrong about that? You have really messed up alot of hard working women's (and men's) lives here. I stay here because I have a family to support, mouths to feed and bills to pay.

Too bad that my own advertising to get my hires takes up my paycheck and I basically work for FREE for NHCD. I would do better as a prositute. I would still be home during the day when they needed me, work from home (if I wanted to), AND make a profit. Point is this: You're little NHCD company is going DOWN in a BIG way. You need to wisen up... Uncle Sam is WATCHING... You'll be paying up soon enough!

Outstanding Opportunity Working From Home

Ok, I am one of those people who was scamed by more than I care to count. I started with NHCD back in Febuary and since have moved up very fast with the company. This company has full filled my dreams of staying home with my family and yet still make an honist living. We are not an MLM I have tried those too and beleave me this is not one of them.

I paid the deposit yes, but really understood about why they ask for it. I mean when you go to work some where else your expected to wear what they want you to wear, and plus the gas and wear and tear on your car to get to and from work. And you would spend more with that than $69.00. And the company darn sure won't give that back.... RIGHT?

As I said I have been with the company since Febuary and have yet to see any scam in it. I get paid what I earn EVERY week. ON TIME and no but ands or if's about it. I love my job and I am not affraid to tell the hole world...

If you are looking for an company that gives all the promise then NHCD is the one. They are the greatest and most understanding company I have EVER worked for.

Thank you NHCD for all you have done for me.

Ok...I'm going to be really blunt here. Let's just use 2 oz. of common sense. How many scams do you know of that only scam a small portion of the people they hire?

Aren't scams usually more equal opportunity than that? And yet, we have person after person after person, reporting that their money was refunded. The people who don't get their money back are the people who haven't done the work. And isn't it just possible that you THOUGHT you did that number of presentations but for some of them you talked a little faster or they were hang-ups and so you didn't get in the full fifteen seconds?

If you quit at that point...you aren't getting your money back.

I've also heard about the terrible turnover rate. This isn't an easy job. The first day is really hard. and if you don't have a good manager you are going to want to quit. A lot of people don't like this kind of work and they quit. Hence, the turnover rate.

This is not an MLM employees are not charged for the program and when you are recruiting you aren't recruiting your "downline" you in fact aren't recruiting anyone for your team until you get into management.

As for managers making money off of the people below them. A manager's job is to help their people to do what they are paid to do. That's what a manager does in EVERY company on the planet.

I was really hesitent about joining up with NHCD because of the negative things about them being a scam. You know dishonesty goes both ways. If it's a scam you want to avoid it...but if it isn't. Why freak people out of a good opportunity.

I've met so many people who work for the company who have such good things to say that I have a really hard time believing NHCD is a scam. Please don't defame a company with your slander and libel until you actually know what you are talking about!

The deposit is just that, and it is refunded, the only time it isn't is when the contract that the person SIGNS isn't fulfilled. I don't see the scam in that. If you pay a security deposit for an apartment and proceed to ruin the carpet and lose your deposit do you call that a scam too???

Not a Scam

#17UPDATE Employee

Tue, April 29, 2003

I was recently hired to work for NHCD. I went through an interview, was hired, and I am about to start a free training program. The only fee I had to pay was small and it was to set up my phone. I will get it back at the end of 5 weeks as long as I meet all requirements which if you are indeed working you can acheive without any problem. I have been a victim of other "work at home" scams and this is not one of them. If the person how has a complaint about the company thinks that this is a scam, maybe its because they really weren't working hard enough.

THIS IS NOT MLM!!!!!!!

#17UPDATE Employee

Wed, April 23, 2003

In an MLM you a required to get people in your down line in order to make money!! HELLOOO!! You get paid for the work you do! You do not recieve payment off of other peoples work! As far as a charge to work for the company. Truthfully I paid it and recieved it back after my 5th week of working without any hassles!!! I honestly do not want to pay for my long distance bill and then send it in for a reimbursment and wait 30-90 days to get it back!! The company has never asked me to pay anything to keep working and thier is no minimum or maximum to the ammount of work I do. I know that the more I work the more I make the less I work the less I make! No other job paid me like this so I am finally making the money I deserve!!! Instead of being the hard worker while everyone else stands around and chats!!!

NHCD Avoids the facts: They Charge Their "Associates" (victims) Fees...

#170

Fri, January 10, 2003

Nice spin attempt, Mr. NHCD Person, but you avoided the fact that your company still charges FEES to your associates. What other companies make their employees PAY for the privelege of working? And how do you answer the other people who have posted their horror stories about your company on this website?

NHCD is and always will be a MLM company that uses desperate advertising tactics to recruit unsuspecting victims. Period.

NHCD not involved in MLM scams

#17UPDATE Employee

Thu, January 09, 2003

Dear DC,

NHCD is different than MLM's(multi level marketing) in that we give our product (prescription drug card and optical plan), which retails for $94.00, to our associates absolutely free. In addition, our associates can renew their prescription drug card and optical plan for free each and every year. On the other hand, multi level companies charge their associates for the product. They generate a large portion of their revenue by selling their product to their associates. This is why we are not a multi level company.

If you have any questions, please post your questions and I will be happy to respond so everyone can benifit.

Hotjobs.com promises action but no results yet...

#170

Wed, December 04, 2002

I spoke with no less than FIVE people, some in upper management, at Hotjobs.com about removing NHCD ads from their website. Every one I spoke with was concerned and promised ACTION. I even filed an official "complaint" through the Hotjobs.com e-mail address, and as of today 12-04-02 NHCD is still running their multi-level marketing scam on Hotjobs.com

Hotjobs.com promotes themselves as a viable source of career information. Not only to they have annoying pop-up ads that you have to constantly dodge, but now they're catering and selling valuable ad space to multi-level INVESTMENT REQUIRED companies like NHCD and perhaps others, too.

Whether you're an employer looking for new people to hire OR you're looking to change careers, I recommend avoiding HOTJOBS.COM and using another source like Monster.com or Careers.com instead. Be very careful what you spend your time and money on when it comes to looking through Hotjobs.com!!!
