Nia Harris, Nia Harrison Tried to scam me using Craigslist . Maryland
CRAIGSLIST SCAM::
I had an expensive desk for sale on craigslist. When I received the following e-mail, it just smelled fishy to me, especially since I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere and she wrote "I'll be coming to your town soon" (strange). so I took part of the text and popped it into google. Good thing I found this site! I almost got scammed. Here is what the e-mail said:
"Hey is this still up for sale? What's the condition like? And when can
I come check it out? I'm located in Maryland but I'll be coming to
your town soon, Hopefully it's still available. Love to hear from you
soon on it..
Here is my phone number (443) 563-1420 I'm speech disabled though, but
you can always leave me a message with your name and email address or
send me an email, I will respond to that right away. Thanks.
Nia"

I was able to find two more reports with almost this exact same e-mail:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/464/RipOff0464457.htm
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/468/RipOff0468099.htm
It looks like it's a fake check scam.

Your report is pretty devoid of information on how this is a scam. I'm not saying it's not, but to the casual observer, it just looks like you complaining about someone inquiring about your desk, and that, in itself, is not a ''rip off''
Round your report out with facts and details, please.
