HIS WIFE IS ANASTACIA, AND HIS STEP DAUGHTER IS CHELCIE. Nik has long hair, usually tied up, wears baseball caps, and his arms are covered in tattoos. Also has pierced nipples.

Nik Townsend owned a house in Newcastle, WA. I was a resident from April 2015 until July 2015. He told all 3 tenants to move out because he was selling the house. There was never any contract. $550 per month, $300 deposit.

I moved out and cleaned my room and took pictures. He did not do a walkthrough with me and said everything was fine.

By Washington state law, he had 15 days to refund my deposit. He took from August until December and said he did not have the funds.

On December 1st, 2015, he sent me $200 and kept $100. No reason given. I asked twice why no refund was given. No reply. I sent a certified letter demanding the return of it. He send a affidavit with NUMEROUS lies about how we had a verbal agreement, that $100 was non-refundable, and my room was dirty.

I have emails and pictures proving it was refundable and my room was clean. There was no reason to keep it.

I sent another certified letter demanding refund or I will sue in small claims court. He did not reply.

In March 2016, I filed a small claims suit against him for a refund and damages. I sent them to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office to serve him.

Three weeks later I received a letter saying he vacated the house and ran. The Sheriff was unable to serve the papers.

I had two other roommates, Todd Nelson, and Cef Hernandez. Both told me he also took advantage of them.

NIK TOWNSEND is self employed and remodels houses. I can't help but assume he was also scammed other people out of money. Todd told me he had known Nik for many years and he had taken advantage of some people. He was having martial problems and would take out his aggravation on others.

NIK cost me $100 + certified letter fees + court fees + lost time, and he ran to avoid a lawsuit.

NICHOLAS (NIK) TOWNSEND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. HE IS A SCAMMER! HE WILL TAKE YOUR DEPOSIT OR OTHER MONEY AND RUN AND LEAVE YOU WITH NOTHING.

Follow up: I attempted to take him to small claims court. He refused the documents twice. Ultimately I won a judgment, but it was unsatisfactory.
His wife sent a refund check claiming it was the cleaning fee being returned. There never was a cleaning fee. No mention of it during our conversation. Everything was refundable.
I deposited the check and it bounced.
Be aware of NIK AND ANASTACIA TOWNSEND! Scamming, lying, and now a bouncing check.
