I saw an ad on Craigslist under gigs and they were paying girls $20 an hour for promotional work. I do this part-time so I applied.

Nick Cirrintano then contacted me about fundrasising for the Susan G. Komen foundation at a popular NFL game. I fundraised for 5 hours and gave him over $600 in cash for the foundation.

Many things were suspicious about this activity and Nick. (One "fun fact": after giving him loose change that people donated, he told me "keep it." When I insisted he take it he said "cool, it's good for tolls.") I called the foundation the next day and was told that he did, in fact, have a contract to raise money but that it expired at the end of October 2009. Currently it was January 2010! He was fundraising on an expired contract. This means that he was keeping all the money to himself (after the contract's end on October 31st) that was supposed to be going to the foundation. The foundation is now looking for him and knows he is a scam artist.

On that one day I raised $600 dollars and he paid me $110. Other girls raised over $800. All this money goes straight to him.

Don't trust this man or his company. His phone number is (913)486-0766. The email he contacted me from is njcsales@live.com.

Nick Cirrintano: Response to posting

I am very disappointed that someone would post something like this about me on this site.   I am also very confused, as I did not do a fundraiser with Susan G. Komen in New Orleans During January 2010.  However, I would like to explain to anyone who views this posting what my involvement with the Foundation was and is:

I volunteered to help raise $5,000 for beast cancer research by selling Susan G. Komen Pure Pink t-shirts.  These t-shirts were purchased by myself and with my personal money, they were not purchased or given to me by the organization.  The Kansas City affiliate signed off on this agreement and we have since been in correspondence many, many times.  I have also been in contact with the Director of Development/the head of the KC Chapter, several times since the date of the aforementioned posting.  They are not "looking for" me as the posting states, nor am I a scam artist of any kind.  I might add, I live right across the street from the Komen office downtown.

I do not recall having any problems with any of the several people who were hired to help with the promotions but I hope that anyone who reads the posting understands that people sometimes jump to their own conclusions and often with little regard for the people whom they are casting judgment upon.  I spent a great deal of time helping with this cause and had many fine experiences as a result of mine and our efforts during the duration of this promotion.  It is very unfortunate someone would think that my intentions were anything the posting would suggest.

Please contact me or the Susan G. Komen office with any concerns related to this matter.

Thank you,

Nick Cirrintano
