Nick Huppert strikes again; this time with his magazine Citizen New York.  He's incredibly ambitious and sells you the dream as he definitely knows how to talk the talk and makes you feel as though you are entering company that is going places.  Instead, Nick is actually just a fraud who doesn't pay his employees with another scam since he's left Chicago.

Nick is very smart, creating a facade with how successful he is as a business man. He makes sure he has a fancy office, dresses well, parties at all the right places and makes you believe he is something he's not. While he owes his employees thousands, he is too busy jetting off to Cabo, Cannes (under his "publication" Citizen New York of course), Hong Kong and other places he SOMEHOW can afford while his employees ask on a daily basis where their paychecks are.

This guy is a crook through and through.  There is a reason he had to flee Chicago and now he's creating the same set up for himself in New York.  Do not do business with this man, do not trust a word he says as you are only setting yourself up to get ripped off.

Nick at my time at Citizen New York was a relationship that faltered but has since been resolved.  Nick is a business man that honors his employees and tries to work hard to make things right. I truly regret taking this step coming to Ripoff Report as even with this horrible review online Nick has totally stepped up to resolve the issue and we have been working together on his latest project - which I don't think I would have done. Moving forward, I trust our relationship and him completely.

NICK is not what people say he is.

I LOVE it when people make assumptions when they have NO background information.

For the trips that the report mentions. He's are making these assumptions on how he gets to these locations. Nick has friends in a lot of different places and to just have the pleasure of his company they will offer up places for him to stay, pay for flights OR in some cases give him companion passes for flights for cheap flights. And what's wrong with using the Editor-in-Chief title to get better deals? It's not a lie, that is in-fact what he is.

As for going to fancy parties, again, Nick is well received by a lot of people, so he gets invited to fancy parties and a lot of the time it's WORK. Yes, partying is WORK, developing relationships and networking. Not to mention there's absolutely nothing wrong with letting off some steam every now and then.

And as for dressing well. Little to people know, he barely shops at all. His suits were made in Hong Kong and any man would know that's where you get perfectly tailored suits for super cheap. And while his outfits are good, they are usually recycles them over and over again.

I don't know about the money but Nick is a good person to know. He helps where he can, extremely passionate in what he believes in and wouldn't intentionally efff anyone over. If someone hasn't been paid, either they are undeserving, there's a miscommunication somewhere, or he's strapped and just needs a little time to pay off a debt. Seriously, think before you make an assumption.
