I recently bought a 2003 Xterra (Jan 03) and have since needed a luggage net to complememt the luggage rack. I proceeded to buy one off of E-Bay. Little did I know that I needed different hooks in order to be able to use the net.

I have called a couple of local dealerships and they said I would have to buy another net from the dealership that includes these "t-anchors". I let them know that all I needed was the t-anchors and did not need the net. I was once again told they could not do anything about that. I then called the consumer affairs line and they told me the same thing, I would have to buy another net and the t-anchors only come with the net, you can't buy them separately.

So I asked, if I had broken one of these anchors would I have to buy another net? Yep!! Is this crazy and retarded or what? Maybe my expectations were way to high. It would seem as though I could go to the local dealership and be able to buy these simple little t-anchors that probably only cost $1/piece instead of spending another $35 or so for a new net that I don't need just to get the anhors!!!

The consumer affairs lady told me thank you for your complaint, we will forward this to the engineering department.

I asked the so-called consumer affairs lady if I could talk to a manager in that department and she refused to give me a phone # or e-mail. This is some great service we have here isn't it!!

I think the Nissan Co needs to re-think this great idea of the embodiment of their SHIFT-philosophy and quit screwing people over!!!
