auto car seats should be covered under one's warranty.  My issue with Nissan is that i have Charcoal black cloth interior.  It fades very easly.  My car is a 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan 1.6 s model with less than 30,000 miles on it.  The drivers car seat on the entrance side shows fading where the air bag is located.  From a teck coming to our local dealership over this isuue that the dealer did,'t want to do a warranty on the car seat,  He looked it over and said that it was from normal WEAR & TEAR.  He then said he would check on the price to see if he could PUSH IT through there warranty claim.   He came back with an invoice to replace the WHOLE SEATS at over $1500 of which of course, Nissan wouldn't approve of at all.  THEY don't make just a seat cover for replacement on this car.   THE WORSE part about this whole issue is that the area of concern on this seat is on the left side near the side air bag that is faded or discolored.   THE REST OF THE SEAT STILL LOOKS LIKE BRAND NEW!  so, IF THIS WAS INDEED A WEAR & TEAR issue, one would think that the WHOLE seat should be in question from normal useage.    PRICE REPLACEMENT AND OUT OF STOCK WERE OTHER ISSUES HERE ALSO.  Contacted the BBB Auto line for help and assistance on this issue.    Even the TECH said that the material used in this model was of a LOW GRADE and very cheap.   $1500 plus cheap!!

This issue of my car seat is in the hands of the BBB AUTO LINE complaint department.  Nissan wanted one to go through them before going to file any place else.   The man handling my case has been fair so far to say the least.   NISSAN has refused to repair my drivers side car seat to what they say is normal wear and tear.   YET, the part in question is a small area on the back part of the drivers seat side air bag area.   The rest of the car seat still looks like showroom new.   If this was indeed a WEAR AND TEAR issue as stated by Nissan,  one would think that the WHOLE car seat should show the same wear and tear.   Picture on this is shown on cars.com under 2012 nissan versa asheville, nc. 28803 cars priced under 12,000. Passenger seat as well as all of rear seat still like showroom new.   THIS IS NISSAN AS IT'S WORSE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  It's not of my fault that Nissan doesn't make just a replacement car seat cover.  One must get the whole back of the seat as a replacement at a cost of over 700.00 and guess what, they are out of stock on them.    So, hope that the BBB AOUTO line can help in this matter.
