On June 25th my wife's van broke down. She had it towed to Nixon's Garage in Joplin Missouri. They proceded to replacing parts, spark plugs, wiring harness, and engine oil. They claimed to have changed the filter but this is incorrect as I mark the filters when I change them and it still has mine on it. The van was running rich blowing raw fuel fumes out the tailpipe. They proceded to tell her the injector harness was shorted. This was incorrect. I am an ASE and Chrysler certified Master Technician and I had diagnosed the vehicle the night it broke down. They replaced the parts they told her were bad and then she had to have it towed because it wouldn't even start. It was towed to another technician and he diagnosed the same component that I had. The part was installed and the vehicle ran perfectly. When I contacted Rick Nixon the owner about the misdiagnosis and the costly replacement of good components he stated that the vehicle ran fine when it left. This is in error as the vehicle had to be towed for the no start. He also refused to provide the components they removed from the vehicle. I have also repaired ten similar vehicles with the same concern this year alone. It has always been the component I diagnosed on her van. I would recommend anyone in need of a repair steer clear of this facility unless you have an abundance of cash and don't mind tow bills.
