NJ Rentals false advertising ripoffs misleading liars phone doging no computer having Garwood Also Said To Be In Kearny New Jersey

3/17/04 12:20p I contacted NJ rentals because of their many Hillside NJ listings online at NJ.com. I was advised by John that they were available as of today. He would not give a street location of the property until I registered w/$150 in the Garwood office. 2:20p I arrived at the Garwood office, completed the profile application of my apartment needs and was charged a $150 registration fee.

I was advised that I had 120 days to use the service but advised him I needed an apartment before 4/1/04 and was eager to get the available information we spoke of over the phone. He told me while my credit card was processing I could look at the available properties in this HUGE binder full of old and new dated properties all over the county. He then brought the application over for my signature and I asked about the Hillside properties. I couldn't locate ANY in the book, John stated "If they are not in the book, Deloris will have to look them up by computer." He then leaves the office.

Meanwhile as I looked around there wasn't a computer in sight. 10mins later(2:50pm) I asked Deloris if she could look up the information for me, she told me she was very busy and if I could wait until 4p. I told her I couldn't wait that long because I needed to pick my kid up from school. I told her I'd go home and call her then. I called back at 4:15p and Vanessa picked up the phone. Deloris stated in the background "I told her to call back at 5:30p". I told her I'd call back then but I really wanted to see the apt today I told her. I called back at 5:15p she still could not locate the information. Deloris then took my number and told me she'd call me at 8p before she left. I called her at 8:10p no answer. So I left a message.

I called back at 12noon the next day I spoke to John and told him how upset I was at the misleading information in the paper and I wanted my money back. He then stated he'd have Vanessa call me back with the information. She never called, I've left several msgs since, they refuse to call me back. It is now 3/28/04 and they still refuse to call leaving me down to the wire to search for an apartment at the drop of a dime. I paid for this service because I lack the time needed to browse the paper and internet in search of a place. This is really a "DIS service"!!

WELL...... FOR STARTERS, IF WE DONT HAVE A COMPUTER ,HOW AM I DOING THIS HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SECOND WE STAND BEHIND OUR SERVICE 100% WE DO ISSUE REFUNDS FOR THE SERVICE FEE WHEN A CLIENT DOES NOT FIND A APARTMENT. TO BE BE VERY HONEST THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HEARD ANYTHING REGARDING THESE TWO COMPLAINTS.. AND I'M IN THE OFFICE 7 DAYS A WEEK.

IF THESE TWO CLIENTS HAVE A TRUE BEEF WITH NJRENTALS please call john at njrentals 908-928-1900 between 10 am and 3 pm everyday. also i have 10 or more apartments in hillside but these apartments are not in the said clients price range. every so often we get a client who wants to live in the better areas but wants to pay ghetto prices that they are use to. it doesnt work like that. we do do get cheap ones but thats why we give the service for 120 days and will give the cheap ones to them right away as the come in. but it becomes a waiting game when the clients price range doesnt match the going prices in the area they are looking for.

as a business man i'm sure we can resolve these problems with out going to these lenghts. i do not reconize this company rip off report as a true mediator for my licenced real estate agency and clients who have a problem with our type of service.

if you or anyone else wants to check our track record. contact the state agency that oversees us which is the new jersey real estate COMMISION. NOT ONE COMPLAINT IN 35 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
