When I first became involved, I won 4th place. No cash, ribbon, or nothing. I was sent a letter in the mail to see my poem published I had to buy a book. I thought I would see it in the library. I looked and did not see the book or my poem. Next contest I entered again with a heart breaking poem which was very touching to me and the person I was talking about. I expected a response. Instead I got the poem back revised and the true meaning out. I told them to make no changes and keep it as is. I also got another letter stating it was published and to buy it from a book. I did not and have not received any money for these two poems. I had friends even going to the website to vote for my poems so I could win. I did a total of 5 and then found out it was nothing but a scam to get money. I have none because I am not able to work. I try my best by winning scholarships or rewards to help me with my education and this really hurt me a lot. Not only school wise but the emotions I put in the poems as well.
