Noble House Resorts Kona Kai Resort, San Diego, Joe, Melanie Esperon, Catering/Conference Dept. Lied over phone about price of AV set up, Sent a pre signed invoice, then charged 4 times that fee to my credit card and lied by saying I was bringing my own. San Diego, California
Scheduled a small conference in Bay Conference Room at Kona Kai Resort, San Diego, CA.
Signed an av invoice on April 30, 2014 for Client Projection Package and Cords set up for 4 days for 988.00
When I arrived, Melanie Esperon, who sold me on this small package on the phone and then sent the invoice, claimed I was bringing my own.
That is lie 1.
The AV person came in and set up the system which I used 3 of 4 days. At the end, Melanie just sent me the invoice for the deluxe projection package, charging me $500 a day instead of the original $175.00
That is huge lie 2.
She just charged my card twice for the invoice of $2160.00. The bank will not hold or block the payment, although they had to block the additional payment of surcharges by the hotel of 250.00 the day before.
Oh and she sent me a "TRUE" AV list from which she took her charges. I had never seen it. She was smooth too. Gotta give her credit.
This is huge lie number 3 - The desk clerk lied when he said my funds were released and they were not according to the bank fraud alert specialist I spoke with.
So four people are flying in from international flights and I start receiving emails that their restaurant is closed. We're sorry.
The shuttle is available for your guests - but one guest was denied saying the shuttle was not available although it was parked in front.
She can serve breakfast for my conferees out in the courtyard - where they are sawing, building, and hammering with dust and dirt flying. Wasn't that nice of her?
DO not go to this resort n Shelter Island in San Diego. My business account is now in the red. The bankers can do nothing, and I would love to find a way to stop them from ripping people off.
