Complaint Review: Nola Hawker

This person is not a client of my business, so therefore, her defamatory remarks about my business are as groundless as they are absurd. I understand from a number of sources that she has a growing reputation on social media as a mentally unstable public nuisance. She is a 57-year-old woman, whom by her own admission, has been unemployable for over 20 years. She has disclosed that she suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder, and her erratic, volatile and highly aggresive behaviour on social media is certainly consistent with this diagnosis. Against my better judgement, I befriended this woman on social media over a year ago, but a number of months later, I decided to terminate the friendship due to her bizarre behaviours. Since then, she has relentlessly stalked me online, and in addition, she has relentlessly published erroneous information about my editing firm on the Internet.

Fortunately, this woman remains ignorant to my legal name (hence, she has used names that I have used on social media in order to attempt to attack me). My background is in forensic psychology, so I am particularly careful about protecting my identity. Accordingly, I never disclose my legal name Online. The legal name of my business has also changed, but will never be revealed on social media, either. I do maintain a Facebook page of my business, which operates under an entirely different name--a name that was chosen as it is a name to which our clients can relate. We have never actually used any legal name of our business on Facebook, which is just as well given how apparently unhinged this woman really is.

I have contacted a Melbourne suburban police station this evening about the continued relentless harrassment of this woman. To date, I have simply ignored her, because I do appreciate that she is an elderly, bitter and mentally disturnbed person, but I will always draw the line when it comes to any attempts, as useless as hers was, to threaten my livelihood. I would suggest that, if possible, you ban this woman from your social media pages, since she is clearly bored and seems to thrive on creaing drama wherever she goes.
