About four years ago I purchased a NordicTrack Bike from Sears. It was during the period when thoughts of closing all Stores in Landover Mall was prevalent. To maximize their profits Sears sold new defective merchandise. My Sl720 Nordictrack Bike sat dominate for three years and used only fifty miles during that period. The fourth year the Bike begun getting route use and within six months the axle bearings break down. I have 15 speed bikes 20 years old with 5000 miles or more and never had problems with axle bearings breaking down. It's very unusual for traditional riding bikes to have problems with axles and the technology on NordicTracks exercise Bikes is not that different. For the eight hundred dollars I paid for the NordicTrack it should last a lifetime. My 18 speed Bikes cost half that much and are still going strong. What a major ripoff.
