I am a long time customer of Nordstrom, both online and in-store. I shop there almost daily because I have no time to go the store and try stuff on. So, when I like something I order it. If I don't like it, I return it.  In the last few years I have been experiencing events when returning my items vi mail (using USPS). For example, back in 2012 I returned quite some few items(worth over $500) and was never credited for them. These items were all new, with tags. I didn't even have chance to wear it, but when one orders online you realize that what's on the computer doesn't always look the same in person. Well, I used the return label and dropped off in the mail. After I month, I realized that I have recieved no e-mail return comfirmation and the items have not been credited to me. When I contacted Nordstrom, they put me in contact with someone in the Research Dept and they attempted to investigate the matter. However, because I had no tracking imformation for the packages, and becuase of the amount to be credited, they told me they were not able to credit me the returns. I was even told that "each package comes with a return label and you're not using them properly". I was very offended. What I do know is that I used their return label so the item must have reached the warehouse, I even requested that they track the return lavel that came inside the box, but it seems Nordstrom doesn't keep track of them either. I took it as a big loss for not keeping track of my shipments and moved on. However, recently this problem has been occuring again. I've contacted Nordstrom and they've credited me (as a courtesy), however, I believe it because these items are mostly sale items that have been reduced. However, I was contacted recently and told that my "file" ( I have a file?)shows I have complained about items in the last 11 months. However, when providing them with the tracking numbers this time, they are sure that these items have not been the warehouse and I should file a claim with the post office. The Post Office states they canot file a claim of items that show as "delivered" and that Nodstrom returns are "insured"  so I should conact them about the packages. I am slowly goig mad. The funny this is that I've sent back jewerly and expensive watches it has never gotten lost. But when I send back sale items, like tops and jeans, they "dissapear" from existence. I told Nordstrom that the items are reaching their destination, but the items are not being processed. They should investigate why sale items are not being processed? Are they being used for Rack items and then they stick the customer with the bill? At this point, Nordstrom believes I have something to do with these returns, so I am sending back all returns via an alternate shipper and requesting signature confirmation upon delivery as well as insuring all merchandise over $50.00. Once Nordstrom discovers there is theft in their warehouse, they will owe me for the remainder of items that have not been credited as well as shipping costs. Ulltimately, my hope is that I can contact their Corporate offices and voice my concern with them and reach a resolution. I have been a great customer so many years, and this is the way I am treated: like a common thief.
