Nordstrom Nordstrom offered in-store credit upon approval and is not honoring Seattle WA
Nordstrom offered $60 in-store credit for applying and using their credit card on a purchase and said that the credit card would be available immediately for use upon approval.
I was approved for the credit card but their was an issue on their end that prohibited the card info from being available for a purchase and I was told that they would not be able to give me the $60 even though I was making a qualified purchase and the only solution would be to wait until the credit card arrived in the mail and then make a purchase immediately after receiving the physical card. Having to make an additional purchase was not disclosed when applying for the credit card.
When I asked for the credit card application to be rescinded and the hard credit pull removed, they said they could only mask the hard credit pull. Which would still affect my credit report for 2 years but would not show on my credit report. When I told the representative this was not what was promised to me when I applied for the card and that I wouldn't accept the masking of the hard credit pull their response was "this is all we can do."
