Nordyne unreliable equipment and horrible customer service O' Fallon, Missouri

We own a Broan central air unit which is 2.5 years old which has a Nordyne air handler. In the 2.5 years we have owned it, the Nordyne air handler has had 3 coils in it (the original and 2 replacements). The original coil worked the first season. The next summer on start up the coil leaked and was replaced under warranty by the original installer and he covered the labor costs.

This spring the new coil had multiple leaks and we had to pay $1350 for labor & freon to have the unit operational. We contacted Nordyne's rude customer service to voice our concern on the multiple coils in a 2.5 year old unit and their reply was that they only cover the parts and Nordyne suggested we could spend more money and get the extended warranty that covers parts and labor.

So to summarize, we should spend more money on their extended warranty to cover their shoddy equipment. I would highly recommend not dealing with the Nordyne Company and their poor quality products & customer service that they tout on their website. Beware!!
