I received a letter from North-American Publishers Clearinghouse and was told I have an unclaimed prize of $975,382.00 USD the system indicates that I was selected as a winner of last months lottery draw. all participants were selected through as atomated ballot system. they also enclosed a check for $4,467.00 USD payable to me to pay for all applicable adminstarative fees and must be Deposited in my account only after speaking with my agent "Note the check is not active until I speak to my agent Donald Hendrix.

so I called him and he confirmed that they have $975,382.00 USD under my name and to call the shipping depart(tax office) if I am sceptical so I did take note the number was provided for me. so I did and they did say they have this money and when I asked him where there location was he told me he was between US and Canada but on the Canada side .

everytime I ask him about the check they sent me all they keep saying is to deposit it to my account, I told them I did not have a bank account and they said they can accept Western union when I said well let me walk to the bank that states in this check which was Wachovia Bank so I may cash this ,then send it to you Western Union .he could not give me an answer.and I got diconneted.

I got the same letter today 08-16-08. I live in Tn. and my Grandmother was the addressee of the letter. She lives in North Florida, but I have her mail forwarded as she is 88 and in a Nursing Home. Makes me wonder if they are picking on Elderly people? The letter plainly states She won the 935,000 dollars and does not say anything about stipulations. I called the number but no answer as it is Saturday. I did not get a check with the letter just a number to call. I found it interesting that the letter has NO return address, but it obviously is post marked from Canada.
I will reply about this once I hear from this company. I think they owe her the money. It said without stipulations she has flat out won. Well, I'm sure getting them to pay would be a joke, but maybe a jail cell would be payment enough.

You and two other people (just today)all got the same type of "check" in the mail from a Canadian based company stating you won a lottery and asking for money..
Don't fall for it...it IS a scam...they are using the Publisher Clearinghouse name and logo as a front. look up the same types of stories.
