I purchased an old boat. My father in law who lives in Norman, Oklahoma picked up the boat for me and took it to Norris Marine to have them look it over. The did look it over and charged me $600. I thought that was a little high, but OK. I towed the boat about 900 miles to Colorado. I got the boat in the water and started the motor. Started right up. Well, I drove the boat about a half mile into the lake and it completely stopped. I could not start the boat. I was in a lake in Colorado 60 miles from my house. Well, I finally started the motor by holding the throttle down all the way. We finally made it back to the dock. I pulled the cowling off and noticed that the carburetor was leaking. I could see that the bowl under the carburetor had come off. There was a hole in the bottom of the bowl where a bolt should be. I could not find the bolt. I called Norris Marine to ask them for help or a suggestion as to how I could put things back together. They were no help at all. They couldn't have cared less. The next week, my father in law stopped by Norris Marine and told them again what happened. They said they would fix it if we brought the boat back to them. They said the screw probably fell out when the boat was being towed. Amazing,  this is what they call customer service. Blame the problem on an almost possible event. These people are to be avoided at  all costs.
