When the chairs arrived they were not in the same perfect condition as received. In addition, they totally destroyed a $19,000 Knoll sofa. Their own driver told me that they did not tell him to be careful or to place it in a sofa box that we paid for so it would be protected. After spending two weeks providing extensive documentation and photos they made up excused for not paying the claim Phoenix Arizona

I am very disgusted that we had our furniture damaged, not padded correctly, not place in the secure sofa box we paid for and then for Bridget Kelly who is the assistant to the President at North American to send us the following e-mail. Her exact words and excuses are as follows: Thank you for your patience while I have researched your claim. I have discussed the matter at length with several executive officers. The Household Goods Descriptive Inventories note that the leather chairs were wrapped in white cloth at the time that we picked them up from Get Your Move On. The sofa is shown as being wrapped not only in fabric, but stretch-wrapped. North American Van Lines does not wrap leather or suede items in stretch-wrap, because it has the potential for causing damage to the leather hides, including stretching and crushing. Since all of the items were wrapped at the time that the carrier picked them up, we cannot verify the condition of the items. We therefore cannot confirm where the damage would have occurred, and as such, are unable to accept liability for the items as claimed. I am very sorry that I could not provide a more positive response, and I apologize for ruining your holiday. I do hope that you are able to enjoy some time with your family.
