I moved from VA to GA a month ago and am still receiving the forwarded mail. Late last night I was going through my mail. Low and behold, I hold up an envelope without a return address on it. And to my shock when I open it falls out a check for $3,855. Of course, there is a letter enclosed stating that I am the winner of $78,540 and I need to call Edgar Clevert Jr prior to depositing the check inorder to receive further instructions. The $3,855 is to handle the underwriting fees. I am a realist so I sit there thinking, "Ok, what's the catch?" Of course I try to call but thinking to myself it is going to be too late.

In the morning I place the call and am able to contact Edgar--I ask him if he is serious-he (of course) says yes. I make him aware of the fact that I am not naive and know that there are many scams going on..he said "No, this is your money--how would you like to receive it?"

I asked him about if I had won this money why the funds for underwriting were not just taken off the top and he gives me a story of making sure that since funds are coming from Canada to US govt needs to ensure not $ launduring or drug related-asked why I would have to wait to get the information for the contact information of the underwriter and he stated that was due to them being available on a case by case basis...and so who is available now may not be then. (And if the check is for $3855 why are the taxes only for $2300??)

None of it makes sense and he wasnt able to answer any questions rationally--the sad part is that people hope and dream of this very thing everyday--and people like this are ripping it away. It turns dreamers into synics...

There is $1555 in that initial check for you! All for you! Gosh, who can pass that benefit up?

There are many additional benefits for you:
1. the check bounces after maybe 2 weeks,
2. you then owe your bank $2300, and
3. your bank then thinks that you are crooked, or at least that you are a ninny.

With 'benefactors' like "Edgar Clevert Jr " at "North American Sweepstakes Lottery" who needs enemies?

Well, Angela, if you were born at night, the good news seems to be that it wasn't last night.
